What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a component (polysaccharide) that is part of our body naturally, we find it in joints, cartilage and skin.
- In joints it helps prevent painful friction from occurring.
- In cartilage it works as a restorative.
- On the skin it acts as a MOISTURIZING agent thanks to its ability to attract and retain water. Did you know that it is capable of retaining up to 1000 times its weight in water? Applied to the skin and in contact with water, it acts as a kind of sponge that keeps the skin juicier, plumper, prevents dehydrated skin and thus keeps the appearance of wrinkles at bay.
It is a molecule that has a key function in the skin: to give SUPPORT and ELASTICITY.
